Jonathan Meeks is a graphic designer and photographer with over 35 years experience in developing a wide range of creative and innovative design solutions for a diverse clientele. His work encompasses corporate identity, package design, photography, illustration, point-of-sale and print/collateral design.

After receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, Jonathan pursued a career path with roots in both corporate and independent design environments. He garnered experience with Bay Area design firms Stephen Black Design/Studio Black and Gerald Reis & Company before joining the Creative Services Group of Nestlé USA in San Francisco as a Senior Designer. In his role as Project Manager and Senior Designer with Trinchero Family Estates in Napa Valley, Jonathan was responsible for designing brand identities, package design, point-of-sale, and collateral materials for several major wine brands.

Since 2004, Jonathan has helmed Jonathan Meeks Design (JMD), his independent design firm originally based in Portland (OR), then San Diego (CA), and currently in Napa, California. His primary focus has been collaborations with multi-brand wine industry leaders Trinchero Family Estates and Vintage Wine Estates, where he has developed design solutions ranging from identity and package design to marketing and promotional materials for multiple wine brands.

Whether working independently or collaborating with major companies or design firms, the mission and driving force behind every JMD project is the same: Establish a clear understanding of the marketing strategy and distinct design objectives and develop creative graphic design solutions and effective communications.

Jonathan is a graphic designer, photographer, art and music lover, and —— when the creative spark ignites him —— an occasional painter. When not designing the next project, you might find him wandering the galleries of Bay Area and San Francisco art museums, practicing yoga, dreaming of Paris, or enjoying the culinary offerings of the beautiful Napa Valley. Jonathan lives in Napa, CA with his wife Terri and trusty sidekick Hugo.
